Stormy skies, a sunrise reflection, the lingering dusk; the rhythmic changes of light influence the source and inspiration of my paintings. Together with colour, light evokes emotion and gives a sense of time and place. It highlights and masks, revealing and creating a sense of mystery.

I am an abstract landscape artist creating compositions woven from images taken from the natural world. Inspiration is drawn from places that I have experienced and been touched by. The finished pieces range from almost totally abstract compositions, evoking a sense of place, to more easily recognisable landscape images: a natural world modulated by time and season, disclosed by visual texture and always defined by colour and light.
