POND SERIES

Drawn to the light, reflection and sheer abundance of life, ponds have ignited an enthusiasm for mark making and greater experiment. Having worked in oils throughout my painting career, I am now exploring mixed media including collage and acrylic paint. Using painted-up pieces of Japanese rice paper in a myriad of colours together with gold, silver and copper leaf, abstract shapes collide with more figurative elements in multiple layers to accentuate depth and intrigue.
